Girl Scouting is for all girls 5-18 years old, and adult volunteers are
always needed and welcomed. Training for adults is free and will be provided
locally.

Girl Scout Gold Award Project

MEDITATION GARDEN

 

My name is Connie Protentis and I am an Ambassador Girl Scout in Troop 337 at Kimisis.  I have been a girl scout for 12 years and I am now working towards achieving my Gold Award.  I have chosen to design and build a Meditation Garden at Kimisis.  With guidance from Father George, the approval of the Parish Council and with parishioner's help my project will begin after Easter.  The Meditation Garden will be located in the back of the all purpose room patio. 

 The Meditation Garden will be funded through the sale of engraved pavers (approx. 100) and smaller monetary donations.  The proceeds from the sale of these bricks will be used to purchase the supplies necessary for the Meditation Garden (mulch, sand top soil, shrubs, etc.) and its future upkeep.  Please see below and the attached for additional information and to place an order.

 There will also be three benches for seating that can be donated.  Please contact me if you are interested in donating a bench. 

I am also looking for individuals or groups who would like to help with the meditation garden.  Help will be needed with site preparation, planting and installing the bricks.  Please contact me at 732-888-3887 if you would like to help.  Completion date is August
